With their first few words, authors of some of our most beloved books, novels and fairy tales have brought us into their stories. They have created characters and situations that allow us to experience and discover new worlds and new ideas.
With the 16th annual Starliters production, What a Novel Idea!, we did not read to the audience. Instead, we took the “novel” approach by bringing the audience into the stories to explore those new worlds and to experience the characters coming to life as they sang and danced to music that has been inspired by the writings of many famous authors.
This original show written by Celeste Lauer Yanke and Ellen Factor featured shows such as My Fair Lady, Mary Poppins, Hamilton, Robin Hood: Men in Tights and Les Miserables.
