Our 8th annual Starliters show, Music, Movies, & Memories, an original production written by Ellen Factor and Celeste Lauer Yanke, honored music from the movies.
For over a century, movies have formed emotional connections with millions of viewers, providing a window to our past, a record of the present, and an imaginary glimpse to our future. Music has always had the unique ability to transport us back to memorable times — a high school dance, a perfect afternoon at the beach with friends, taking the family to a drive-in.
The show included spectacular numbers, from My Fair Lady, Mary Poppins and Godspell, to the dancing of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers. There were also favorites from Disney and a special visit from The Pink Panther.
This show combined the movies and music with video clips and photographs. The audience provided the memories as they heard and watched each of the selections.
