Do I have to have prior choral experience to join “Guys and Dolls” or “Starliters”?
No. Previous experience is not necessary.
Do I have to be able to read music to join “Guys and Dolls” or “Starliters”?
No. Reading music helps, but it is not a requirement for either group.
Do I have to memorize the music?
For Guys and Dolls, no, you do not have to memorize the music. All music is provided and is held during the concert.
For Starliters, yes, all music must be memorized.
How can I audition for “Guys and Dolls” or “Starliters”?
Do I have to have theatrical experience to join “Starliters”?
No. Theatrical experience is helpful but not necessary,
Are there opportunities to dance in the “Starliters” shows?
Yes. Starliters shows usually contain dance numbers, especially tap dancing.
Can I be a member of the “Starliters” chorus and not appear on stage?
Yes. Some singers prefer to remain in the fixed chorus and not perform on the stage.
How are soloists selected for “Guys and Dolls” and “Starliters”?
Soloists are selected by audition. Pre-audition workshops are offered to help with preparation for auditions.

If I do not sing or want to be on stage, can I do something backstage?
Yes. There are a multitude of opportunities to participate behind the scenes, from working backstage with sets, stage crew and helping with microphones to setting up, taking down and working with sound equipment or lights. How do I access the Members section of this website?
After you are accepted by the musical director, she provides your credentials to the webmaster. The webmaster will then email you will how to login and access the Members section.
