Purpose of Grants
The purpose of SPAC, Inc. endowment grants is to provide monetary assistance to elementary, middle or high school students in the areas of music, theater arts or visual arts. These grants are for artistic activities and/or equipment for the students or school where other funding is unavailable. In addition, these grants are to be used to provide artistic activities where greatest number of students can be involved.
History of Fund
SPAC, Inc. has provided more than $156,152 in grants to local schools and academies since 2009. Funding comes from ticket sales to Guys and Dolls concerts and Starliters performances, special performances by other performing arts groups and general and memorial donations. The grants help these schools to purchase and maintain instruments, fund band and choir concerts, produce school theatrical productions, funding for thespian workshops and in supporting art projects.
