POST GUIDELINES: This pertains to Starliters Emails, Starliters Files, Guys and Dolls Emails and Guys and Dolls Files
- Duplicate the appropriate template at least the first time you create a post for a specific group or purpose.
- Use the correct template (for example, Starliters Emails, Starliters Files, Guys and Dolls Emails, Guys and Dolls Files).
- Leave the prefilled options unchanged EXCEPT for CATEGORIES — you must UNcheck Templates for Celeste and CHECK the box appropriate for what you are composing = (for example, Starliters Emails, Starliters Files, Guys and Dolls Emails, Guys and Dolls Files). For FOLDERS, please UNcheck Templates, etc. for the new posts. Leave all other prefilled options unchanged. They are set to ensure the post appears in the correct menus with the correct sidebars.
- Follow the naming convention shown in the template’s post title. Posts that do not follow the naming convention may be removed automatically.
- Delete the instructional text from the duplicated template before publishing.
- Before publishing, verify that Visibility is set to Public.
- Select Publish, or Update if you are revising an existing published post.
- Confirm that your post appears in the correct location. If it does not, review the settings or contact Cheri by email or through the Help form.
- The new GUI of Guys and Dolls and Starliters email and files menus is to better accommodate hand-held device display.
UPLOADING IMAGES AND PDFs
- When uploading images, complete the media details. At a minimum, enter a Title for each image. Example: If the photo shows Ellen and Celeste, the Title should be Ellen and Celeste.
- When uploading PDFs, you do not need to complete all the media details. An uploaded filename (e.g., email-08-08-26.pdf) is sufficient. However, file naming conventions must be consistent and should not contain special characters including @, $, #, <, >, &, etc., otherwise they may be automatically removed during database cleanup operations, creating errors for members and visitors.
- If you need to upload an AI-generated image, replace AI signature details which may automatically fill in the media details with appropriate title, alternative text or caption.
EDIT PAGES
- Be careful not to alter or remove code, especially code directing links to other pages or URLs, as doing so can cause errors for visitors or break your content. In the Visual tab, code may appear as red text or underlined.
